LUNCH BUDDIES pROGRAM

Deputy Sheriff’s visit an Albemarle County Elementary School to have lunch with the children and provides for interaction between deputy and a full class of elementary school students. It gives deputies the opportunity to discuss the particulars of his or her job. It also gives the kids the opportunity to experience firsthand that there is more to a law enforcement person than the uniform. This visit allows the kids to put a human face with the uniform.
